Here is a shadow box we just finished. The background is made from a lace tablecloth stretched over the bottom and each side of the box, taking care to avoid soiled areas of the cloth and trying to match the pattern as much as possible. The vintage tablecloth, dress and necklace all belonged to the customer's mother, and the photo (in antique frame) shows her mother wearing the dress. This was a tedious challenge, but we think it turned out great -- hopefully the customer will agree!

Really nice Liz. The tablecloth background looks great!

Maybe a stupid question... Were you able to cut apart the cloth and wrap the sections of the box? The inside corners are beautiful.

Nice work!

Take good care,
Gail

OOPS: Just re-read the OP and answered my own question....

Matching the pattern of a bold-designed background fabric can sometimes be a nightmare, especially on the side-walls, but it looks like you did an excellent job. Kudos to you!
