Taking the CPF test online?

How uncommon is taking the test online? Maybe a dozen framers a year?

Hi Andrew,

Actually, taking the online CPF exam is becoming more of the norm. A lot of people don't have the time to travel to various chapter meeting locations so it is more convenient to take it at a local library, community college, or university close to them. A librarian is qualified to proctor the exam. Another benefit to taking the CPF exam online is that you know the results as soon as you hit submit. With the written tests, it takes a couple of weeks to mail, grade the results, etc.

I like the fact that they have included other individuals as proctors due to fact that I live in Canada where there are not that many MCPFs. We have to remember that this website is for individuals who access it from other countries& take into consideration that their needs may be different than yours.

Dear All,

I'm a framer located in Hong Kong and I am very interested in taking the online CPF exam and be qualified. However, I have emailed Mr. Nick Shaver at NShaver@pmai.org and the system replying it is a wrong email address. I have also emailed both certification@ppfa.com and info@ppfa.com over the past 6 months but no-one has replied me up to now. Have they already stopped the online CPF test? Have any of you got an updated email that I can send to?

PPFA seems to be in a transition phase. certification@ppfa.com is the currently listed address, I would try again.

We are offering the CPF Exam online. The first step is to 'purchase' the CPF Study Guide from the PPFA.com online Store. The study guide is a FREE document but you need to go through the checkout system with it in your cart. After that you will receive a link to download the document. All of the resource books used to develop the exam are listed in the study guide and are also available in the online store. When you feel you are ready to take the exam, it is also purchased through the online store. Any questions should be addressed to certification@ppfa.com.
