In Memoriam: Shirley Damon, CPF

Shirley Damon, CPF, a lifetime PPFA member and honoree of the PPFA Lifetime Achievement Award, died Jan 1, aged 93.
The founder and president of Damon Galleries in Vienna, Va., for close to four decades, Shirley had served on the PPFA International Board and Certification Board, assisted in the development of the PPFA Guidelines series, had served as a PPFA Chapter leader, and developed and taught a "Preparing for the CPF Exam" Class, teaching both in person at Chapter events and at the PPFA Annual Convention, and via tele-ed.

Shirley was a wonderful person and very giving of her time and knowledge. She will be missed.

Shirley hosted some of our chapter board meetings in her home. The array of framed art was breathtaking. I'm glad to have known her.
