FYI...

A few weeks ago Gail and I began our subscription to Blue Apron. Every Tuesday a box arrives, containing all ingredients and detailed instructions to prepare three complete dinners for two. The instructions are beautifully color-printed on 8-1/2" x 11" card stock, so we're keeping them to duplicate the recipes in the future using grocery food.

If you are looking for a way to have an exceptional variety of good food at home, enjoy cooking, and don't mind spending 45-60 minutes in preparation, then this sort of subscription may be for you. So far, every dinner has included at least one dish that neither of us has ever tried or, in some cases ever heard of, before. Really, it's a new adventure three nights a week.

There are other similar food subscription services of various prices and menu qualities, but the reviews for some of them are not very good. Blue Apron was personally recommended to us and it is the only one we've tried, but we have been delighted so far.
