Ready to earn the prestigious Certified Picture Framer (CPF) designation from the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA), or become one of a select few Master Certified Picture Framers (MCPF) in the world? Apply for a L. Thomas McKeon, CPF scholarship or Vivian C. Kistler, MCPF Scholarship!

(Already a CPF or MCPF? Then encourage your framing friends to apply for a scholarship)

Scholarships are good for one year. The CPF exam can be taken online, or the written exam taken at the PPFA Convention. The hands-on MCPF exam may be taken at the Convention, or arranged locally.

Up to five framers will be selected each year to receive a scholarship for a free sitting for the CPF exam and a complete set of PPFA-recommended books. Each scholarship has an estimated value of $425.

Applicants must have a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in retail or wholesale picture framing; be a current PPFA member; have not taken the CPF exam before; meet all deadlines for submission of application and supporting material. Only one individual per PPFA member organization may be awarded a scholarship during any one calendar year.

As many as two individuals maybe selected each year to receive a scholarship for a free sitting for the MCPF exam and a stipend for as much as $500 to offset framing and travel expenses. Each scholarship has an estimated value of $900.

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in retail or wholesale picture framing and be a current Certified Picture Framer (CPF) in good standing, including having fulfilled recertification requirements (“Grandfathered” CPFs, those who took the exam prior to 1994 are required to have taken the recertification class within the last four years); be a current PPFA member; have not taken the MCPF exam before; meet all deadlines for submission of application and supporting material.
