We were very sad to learn of the passing of PPFA member Lisa Lounders, CPF, a framer and artist with the Kennedy Gallery in Grand Cayman. Lisa died suddenly on December 19, four days after celebrating her 54th birthday on December 15.
I wrote a feature article about Lisa in our August 2020 PPFA CONNECT monthly newsletter.
A self-taught artist and graphic designer, and South Florida native, Lisa studied fine art/graphic design for three years at university; and studied business and marketing at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla.
She moved to the Cayman Islands 8-1/2 years ago to work at Kennedy Gallery/ Cayman Fine Art, Framing & Printing in Grand Cayman.
Lisa enjoyed reading about current trends, different techniques and framing advice; attended several PPFA courses at the annual PPFA Convention and the WCAF Expo/National Conference; and was excited to pass the online Certified Picture Framer exam last summer.
The Kennedy Gallery will hold a Celebration of Life on April 2, when Lisa’s artwork will be showcased; all proceeds will be donated to Meals on Wheels.
