The next NEPPFA meeting will be at FRAMED IN TIME in Framingham, MA on Sunday Oct 21, 2012.
This special Sunday meeting will feature a sizable tabletop vendor show, door prizes, refreshments, elections, and even a framing competition.
Special guest Brian Wolf will be giving an afternoon CMC training presentation, and an evening presentation about marketing your CMC designs.
Getting the Most Out of Your CMC
Every mat design can be improved, every customer could be a little more thrilled, and every frame job could be more profitable. This class will be a tour through Wizard’s MatDesigner software with an eye toward adding flair to your designs.
Whether the design involves V-Grooves, debossing, pen work, multiple openings, or just a triple mat, you will see how the software helps you refine the details. There will be a few simple PathTrace projects to introduce another way to make your work even more unique. You will see the machine in action and have your questions answered about all its capabilities. Be sure to bring your questions.
If you have a computerized mat cutter, you will see designs and tricks you will want to use tomorrow. Though this class will use the Wizard software, there will be general design ideas that will adapt to your machine if you have a different computerized mat cutter. If you don’t have a CMC at all, come and get a clear understanding of the things it can do in your shop. Hear the questions and conversations about how others are using their CMC. Come and we will share ideas on how to be more creative.
