The judges for the print and open competition never receive enough thanks... Just think how many hours they have to gruel over their tasks.

Who are the judges, and secretaries this year?

unsung judge

hi

judges and secretarys are so unsung that we are not announced until the judging is over (during the awards ceremony).

I volunteered to be a secretary and was selected to be secretary in OPEN .... until i got the call.

Competition Board has such a difficult time securing judges for International Competitions that secretaries are required to operate as though they could be judges in the event a judge can not perform their duties. I got that call the night before judging was to take place. One of the chosen judges in OPEN was unable to arrive in time to judge because of the eastern USA ice storm. Fortunately, I was already in Las Vegas and able to fill that void.

I am not going to volunteer to judge or secretary at the International Framing Competitions any more. It is truly difficult to judge such wonderful entries, and I truly do my very best to give good comments and the best feedback possible during the time constraints.

best regards,
Jini Lumsden, MCPF

I have seen enough competitions now to know that judging is really hard work. Those of us who regularly compete or organize competitions know how valuable this contribution is. We appreciate you!
