This is inspired by Myrna's thread on "What did you learn in 2013?"

Looking at the year ahead, I'm wondering what you want or need to learn in the way of framing or business skills. Are there certain training topics that would be beneficial to individuals or to entire Chapters? What is on your wish list?

Great thread. I want to polish my websites. Learning about tools like Photoshop Elements would help. I need to learn everything that I can about SEO. I would like to learn about Twitter. Looks like I need to do some tutorials and online classes. I need to use Linked In to it's maximum benefit.

I need to get better at productuion framing. Mixing in orders of a few hundred in with the custom orders. Susan the best place I found to learn photosop is Kelby Training, but I'm also starting see some of the same instructors on Creative Live. The great thing about both sites is the same training videos are always available. You won't have to remember every detail of every process, just the name of the instructor. I hope you find the program as rewarding and profitable as I have.

It is amazing how many instructions for specific photoshop tasks are free on Youtube. If you do a search like "how to change the background in photoshop (your version)" you will usually find several videos & articles describing multiple ways to accomplish what you want to do.

I usually think in terms of "what do I want to do or accomplish." The learning comes from that.
Next year it's all about launching my nearly complete new website. Shaking up my radio ads. Reinvigorating my close corner frames to give Rhonda some business.

But, I would love to run a couple of classes next year. Anybody want to help me pick a subject or two?

This year, I have decided to push the creative side of business yet at the same time keep up with the volume of work. Last year, I integrated a double miter saw and highly recommend this tool for increased productivity. With the saw, I am able to work faster and devote more time to being creative. WCAF and PPFA have kick started the direction I want to take my business. So many times, when business is demanding, the creative aspect seems to suffer. My customers come to me for design and I want to give it to them 100%. I am very enthusiastic about the year and hope the industry will flourish - I think it's going to be a good one!
