It looks like PPFA NEWSLINE took this story down.

It may have been tweaked a bit. I see this link now on the vendor's website, which includes a UV kit as well.

It also says both 97% and 99%, depending where you look. That may be an error.

I talked to a TV rep last week about this discrepancy in the reported UV blocking capacity. He was supposed to call me back....

But I did learn that the Static Shield is essentially Optium without the anti-reflective coating. This probably means that it has the 99% of Optium, but I would sure like to have the confirmed before I sell it.

You are correct. It fills a niche in which UV protection and anti-static properties are desired, as when framing large friable media, but when the budget does not allow for anti-reflective properties.
