I wanted to thank the hardworking people at PPFA for the outstanding job you are doing!

In the last couple of months, there have been two customers contact me, come to my store, AND place orders directly attributable to your efforts.

The first customer was a lady who was looking for a CPF. She came from quite a distance away from me because she went to PPFA's website and looked for a CPF. First time I have ever had a customer come in because I was a CPF.

The second customer was a lady who wanted to frame her husbands doctorate which is on vellum. She was on the internet reading about framing a vellum document, and somehow was directed to the PPFA website. She then searched for a CPF and found me.

I know you work very hard for all of our benefits, and mostly hear from people who complain. You should know the consumer is using your website, and you are having an impact that benefits the membership.

Hi Terry - wow, you got our Monday morning off to a bright start - thank you so much for the kind words to PPFA, I'll be sure the entire team sees this post.

The PPFA and PMA staff -- and a whole bunch of supportive members who so generously volunteer their time to make PPFA programs and events succeed -- make this Association fly high.

In today's digital age I would recommend that everyone with certification reexamine how they promote it, we have to do more than use the logos on our websites, as those mean little to search engines. Make sure you have a short sentence of text with CPF...

CPF is a designation given to Certified Picture Framers, awarded by the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) to individuals who successfully meet rigorous testing of current framing standards.

with Certified Picture Framer spelled out, along with a short description and links to the PPFA website on the page of your website. I would also recommend hash tagging any Facebook or Twitter post, #CPF. The more EVERYONE promotes it and gets the word out to consumers the better.
 
Good to hear Terry. It is worthwhile being a member of PPFA.
I know of one framer who is a CPF, but who is not listed on the Find a Framer site simply because he is not a member of this association. If you are not a member, then your name, or your company's name is not listed and potential customers cannot find you on the website of PPFA.
