This year (2014) as usual we have pictures and tidbits posted from the convention/show on places like "instagram", "Twitter" and "Facebook". It surprises me that we don't have information posted on PPFA Framers Corner. I really would suggest that we have a dedicated thread, such as PPFA/WCAF 14 so those not able to attend could come to the official forum for members and see what is going on.

I agree! Some of us don't participate in every social media system in the know universe so we only get to see a small number of photos on Facebook!
They were great to see, but I imagine there could have been others that we missed out on!

Beards seem to be in fashion, or is it just us male pictureframers who like to be independent, self employed and not caring what others think of facial hair?
Who is next to grow a beard? Jim Miller, David Lantripp, Mike Labbe?

Mind you, it does save time. Every morning standing in front of the mirror cutting off hair, that grows back anyway. For the same token, women don't need to shave their legs.

Best photo from the show!

Not me. I can never get a beard to grow in well, and I shaved my goatee I had had since I was 25 about 7 years ago when it started to show too much grey. I'd hate to see what it would look like now.

Kai, nobody has seen my chin since 1972. Saves a lot of time & trouble, but it is a myth that there is no shaving. But when I retire, I may never shave again and try for the ZZ Top look.

Sorry, still not very good with this silly phone!
Ni wifi for the ipad this year 13.99 a day was too much I thought.

And I just posted competition winners, (photos to come) service awards, new board - under Announcements.

Here I was thinking we had more out there than EVER before!
It's impossible to upload photos from your phone to the framers corner, if there was a way Mike and I would have found it. The best we can do is post to social media like Facebook and it is as close to "live" as we can get. Even then we can not post 20 times a day or people will start un liking the page. We will work on it for sure.

Roma, Larson, Universal Arquati

The PPFA has a photographer there onsite, so maybe we can do more there.
