I'm doing some research on sourcing stretcher bars that use mechanical keys for a couple of artists who make large paintings (at least 4 x 5 feet, but often bigger). I have looked into pricing from Jack Richeson in WI (Best Bars), Simon Liu in Brooklyn, and Twin Brooks in ME. Anyone else have other source recommendations I should consider? Thanks!

Richeson would be the go-to supplier for me, too. They have everything, it's good quality, and the service is very good. Next choice probably would be Foster Planing Mill, but haven't called them since finding Richeson.

You mean you already finished using my stretchers?

Mo, I still have a couple of sticks of your stretcher stock left. I had to make 9 very big stretchers this week for an artist here in Lambertville. My dad came up to help me maneuver them around the shop. THANK YOU FOR BEING A SUPERFRAMER! (I am making you a t-shirt...) :first:
