FrameMe.com iPhone app for frame shops allows
Big Apple Art Gallery & Custom Framing has released a new smartphone application intended for mom-and-pop frame shops. The app allows users to order custom picture frames from their phones. The app was officially launched on July 13th, 2016.
The app was designed and developed by Mohammed Elyas, a New York City picture framer, who has owned his small frame shop on Manhattan’s Upper East Side since 1993. Mohammed’s intention is to help small frame shops, like his own, compete in today’s market. With this app, mom-and-pop frame shops will have access to technology previously available only to multi-million dollar online framing companies. The app can be white labeled for each frame shop, with their own logo, pricing and selection of frames.
This easy to use app allows consumers to upload their own pictures from their phones, or Instagram accounts, and choose different frame, mat and glass combinations. Consumers can place an order directly on their iPhones. Additionally, they can try different frame selections using the app from the convenience of their own home. Armed with pricing and selection available, the consumer can be more confident when visiting their local frame shop.
Mohammed’s app for his own frame shop (Framers) is currently available in Apple’s App Store for download at this link:

Mohammed is a father of three very young children and has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Biology from Pace University. He says the application has a modern and hip interface which is designed to attract younger consumers to use the app and ultimately walk into their local frame shops. As all consumers are increasingly tech-savvy, the app helps traditional frame shops keep up with the ever-changing times of technology-driven customers and marketplace.
FrameMe.com iPhone App for frame shops is currently available in the United States, Canada and Australia. Other countries will be coming soon.
