Greetings All,
I thought that I would share these photos with you - fellow PPFA members.
In these tougher times, we recognize that we need to be able to do those unusual projects as much as possible to increase our gross sales. Ordering customized display cases for customers is just one of those extras but it seems a little daunting at times, especially for our staff.
We've used Showcase Acyrlics in Elgin, Illinois for a number of years. Well they recently have made things easier provide framers with their Pricer but you need to be a registered customer and login to use this feature. It really is awesome - you put in your option for the Acrylic desired, Type of edging desired, H x W x L, Base selection desired (which are grouped in families) > Click Calculate! All of the options are drop-down menus - just can't be any easier.
Of course nothing beats having real completed samples on display, so we have been slowly adding some to show the quality of the product as you see in the samples above. The old photo with the baby shoes is actually a piece ordered by a customer.
We also wanted to display the base options and noted that Gemini Mldg had these shown at the WCAF Show with small Hangman hangers in their booth. We ordered the samples but really didn't find an area in the shop that would make these stand out as a unique item. Our Gemini Mldg rep called and shared that they had an extra small table top display that a customer had ordered and no longer desired...asked if I wanted it? I replied, Indeed and as you see below, it worked out perfect for the job.
Covered in Black Velcro fabric with a black laminate top, it holds four bases per side - 16 in total. I think that with these three improvements we should see an increase in sales of display cases! :thumb:
