Roll call

WV along the Ohio River, 4-6 inches of snow in 2 hrs this morning, followed by sleet, freezing rain, and finally rain. Still lots of snow out there, but it is above freezing now, so maybe it will all be slush by morning.

Western Maryland (the narrow part). 7" of snow, covered with a light coating of ice. But we live on a main drag, and the store is on another main drag, so we will be open. I can finally work on that shadowbox that is all paid for, but I haven't gotten around to doing it. Worst case... no money will be coming in upon finishing, but only a few ideas.

Located in Lakewood, a suburb of Denver CO.

It is warming up from a -3 this morning. The sun is shining and it is supposed to get up to a +15.

The furnace just went out, so the inside temperature has dropped from 69 to 62 in the last few hours. We should have someone coming by tonight after 6:00 pm and before midnight as an emergency call.

So I have only had time to work on one work order so far: 13 minutes to start and finish a painted bevel for black lab sketch, then realized it was getting cold. It is supposed to be a -7 tonight.

Roads are icy and snow packed. Only a few inches of snow. Need to take Janet to a doctor appointment in about 15 minutes. (which means I can work on a "Trooper's" Sketch, another wonderful black lab).

Life is good! The power is still on!

30's here, just a light coating of snow this morning, then a mix of ice and frozen rain.

The back of an 18 wheeler slid into my lane this morning (while he was trying to stop, going down an icy hill) and almost wiped me out. Was a close one! :)

The driver regained control after the trailer bounced off the guard rail in my lane, and went on his way.

Fate was on my side, I just replaced all 4 tires two days ago. They work!

Are you using a mixture of Fahrenheit and Celsius?
Mike wrote 30's. That can mean just below freezing in degree F or a balmy 30 degree Celsius, which is equal to 88 Fahrenheit.

Russ wrote -3 . That is just below freezing in Celsius and + 15 degree Celsius is about 60 Fahrenheit.

Summer is coming here with some drizzle. High humidity of 78%
Inside temp. is twenty C or 70 F Outside is the same.

In central Ohio the weather is cloudy, breezy, with a temperature of about 25 F and falling. We have a snow advisory for tonight, but last I heard, only an inch or so is expected. The 3-6 inches we got last week is nearly all melted. No worries.

In the states, everyone goes by Fahrenheit. The news doesn't even mention Celsius, so the default is F. But I guess we could specify which, for our international friends. (Unless we are saying -40 in which case they are the same)

Warmer today in beautiful Central Oregon - 26 degrees. Last Friday night -22........very, very cold for us. Later in the week we will warm up to 40 and I think it will feel balmy! This is the first year the Christmas Parade was cancelled because of the frigid weather. The high was 9 on Saturday and just too cold for the kids, animals and marching bands.

Well, we got 4" of powdery snow this morning. It started about 1 AM and by 6 AM the roads were a mess for rush hour. Timing of this storm was terrible for the commuters. Today's forecast says the snow will stop by mid-morning and for the rest of the day we'll have bright sun and temps in the mid-20s.

The sun is shining, it is currently 24, and it is supposed to be above freezing for the first time in a week or more.

And we got our furnace fixed last night. (an unexpected expense - repairman says that other problems suggest may need to be replaced in next 1 to 3 years so start saving money now).

6:21 am here in Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia. It's been a very warm night and even warmer now. I don't have a temp for you, but I'm sweating if that's any help!

Off to work this morning, still very weak from being crook as Rookwood. Ambos took me to hospital on Monday. !t will be a slow day, today I reckon, but will have to get back into work, because I already had too much work to get done for Christmas/retirement and now I've lost two days! If any of you guys have little to do, please drop in and whip up a few frames for me please? LOL.

If you pay for the airfare, I'm sure I can arrange to come in for a day or two.

Seriously, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Take care

Thanks Russ.
I was thinking that maybe you could come down for a vacation and help out for a coupla days! We do have Koalas, kangaroos, wombats, Tassie Devils, the Great Barrier Reef, Sydney Opera House and many other exclusive attractions!
