Earlier in the year I decided to make a change in my life and retire from work so that I could do some of the many things that I have not been able to do. I set 20th December as my final day of framing!

The final countdown is done! Today - 20th - was going to be my final day framing, but I had some help on Monday, which put me ahead of schedule. The final orders were finished and collected yesterday -Thursday.
I'm officially retired!
It feels a bit weird, but also feels very good! A big thanks to Werner for his help on Monday!
A huge thanks to the many customers who have trusted me with their treasures during the past 28 years!
Thanks to all the framing colleagues around the world and to family and friends for your good wishes and support!

I'm into photography - nature mostly - and want to be able to photograph sunrises & sunsets in many locations along the coast and inland over the next few years. Cathie's sister has loaned us their caravan - trailer in US speak - for a year! We will buy our own after that.

This is what I love to do - a recent sunrise shot!

Congratulations on reaching this milestone Ormond.
You can still frame your photos of the sunsets and rises and hang them on your wall. Friends will come in and like you to frame their photos. Soon after that you will frame for their friends and not just photos. You can make a nice profitable framing business out of framing in your spare time.

Congratulations, Ormond! Wishing you another 28 filled with more fun and adventure!

LOVE the photo.... spectacular! You may be the next Peter Lik, and have a gallery in Vegas so we can all visit in January :)

Congratulations Ormond! Your photographs are Beautiful, I love sunrise and sunset photos. Maybe we can help you sell some of them?

Enjoy and Hi to Cathie.

Congratulations Ormond :thumb::thumb:
I met you a couple years back at the framing show in Sydney, it was a pleasure!

Wishing you a very happy retirement and hope you keep in touch o n the forums.
