If you missed the 2Q issue of the PPFA e-newsletter “For Members Only” (FMO) – which came out in June – you missed these great stories!

  • The beautifully framed 100-year-old book about the 1912 Titanic tragedy, framed by Australian framers Jenny and Trevor Yates – who took first place in the PPFA International OPEN Framing Competition in January! See their “antique” shadowbox and the creative solution that allows the delicate book to be easily inserted and removed without stress or damage.

  • See what members in the Metro Atlantic, New England, Great Lakes, Greater L.A., Indiana, Northern Ohio, Kentucky/Tennessee, and Mid America Chapters have enjoyed at recent meetings, including a PPFA version of “Antiques Road Show!”

  • Check out this huge Egyptian papyrus framed by Andy Langlois, CPF; and a carved wooden Mexican sculpture in an arched frame created by Thomas Houston, MCPF. The back frame houses a mirror to view the rear of the sculpture.

Read the 2Q issue – and any archived issues you may have missed – at this PPFA.com page!

Watch your emails for the 3Q issue coming out shortly – featuring a husband-wife framing team in the Greater Atlanta area, a fabulous memory box created out of old cedar farm posts by Tennessee framer Mikki Kavich with a wonderfully poignant human interest story behind it – and much more!

We welcome press releases, story ideas, photos of framed items, industry news, new products, and more! Send to sheilap@pmai.org.
