Hey guys

Using my 1" "Frugal Frame" black that would be $79.95 plus tax.

Just like Ellen, if the customer wanted metal it would be $69.95.

Wow that is much lower than I thought, I am curious what your cost on a 16 x 20 is running, same specifics.

My "starving artist" package price is $156 for a 24 x 36" frame, drymount and glass. If i used my standard pricing it would be in the $190 range.

"cost" or Retail price?

My retail price for a metal 16x20 regular glass, dry mount is $39.95. $10 more to upgrade to any of the 24ish wood mouldings in my Frugal Framing offering.

Looking for retail comparisons, thanks. All my package priced moulding cost is around a $1, some has been increasing lately. I will admit my prices used to be lower, but my bottom line was being effected. Too many jobs going straight to the package pricing but not enough to make it worth doing.

I charge $79.00 for a 16x20 now, it used to be $69.00

Using our poster special package, this size would be $49.95, which includes a stock metal frame (choice of 7 colors) and regular glass. If they want it drymounted, that would add $32, for a total of $81.95. We do not offer any upgraded moulding, glass or mat options. If they want anything more than the poster special package, it would be priced out like any other custom frame job and would be far more than $49.95. (We make an exception with drymounting, since theoretically, they could bring in their poster and we would drymount if for the $32, then they could bring it back in already mounted for the poster special, so the total price would be the same, only it would take 2 separate orders to get there.)

My cut off per foot cost for my Frugal Framing moulding is .75
I use mostly close-outs and buy 1 box minimum, sometimes two.

My COMs last year (with 60% of the orders being Frugal Moulding) was 20.2%
I'm happy with that.

FYI
Large chain store Price

one paper mat,
conservation glass,
assembly,
frame

11x14 $60.00
16x20 $80.00
20x24 $95.00
24x36 $125.00
32x40 $155.00
express service which is I think two day or three days add $25.00

Unless you are "really advertising" your lower prices, could you be leaving money on the table?

My prices with mat for those sizes; $10 more to upgrade from these regular glass prices to ConClear (the BBs don't sell regular)

11x14 39.95
16x20 59.95
18x24 69.95
22x25 79.95
24x36 89.95

I do run a print ad every other week and post the prices on my website.

My most frequent, by far, comment from a new customer is that so-and-so told them about my Frugal Framing.
As long as I am maintaining my GMP, I'll do those sales all day long.
