Hi Guys
Is there a PPFA Handbook or rule book available or on PDF some where? Being kinda new to the PPFA, 3 years, and been the Great Lakes Chapter VP since January some kind of reference guide would be super helpful!

Randy,
If you have any suggestions as to what should be added to this site, let us know. This is a fairly new link and things are constantly being added. Thanks for your questions!
Susan

Well as a fairly newbie to the PPFA, 3 or 4 years and my second year as a local board member, everything I do is based off of what others recommend. Frankly there isn't much more I understand even now. A handbook might clear things up. If your elected to the board, how long is that for? What is the protocol for bringing in new board members?, how often do you have to meet? What ever other basic things you can think of a newbie would not know.

Each chapter should have their own legal by-laws.

These questions should (must?) be spelled out in those by-laws.

Each chapter can have different terms and other protocol relative to officers and board members.

New England for example has a board of 11 members.
Including Pres, vp, treasurer, secretary, immediate past pres and and 6 directors. a minimum of 2 directors must be from the wholesale side of the business and two must be from the retail side of the business. (that of course leaves four "at-large" directors) All terms are 2 years. The president is term limited to two succesive terms.
