So I am looking at my FB page and the $95 offer keeps showing up. Each time I see it, I get a little more aggravated.

From what I can recall, the $95 first time trial offer has been around for a long time and is really not a special offer. The FB ad has an expiration date, but I am betting that the same offer will be available tomorrow after this deal is over. This just smells like the phony sales that JoAnns and Michaels run. I would hope that we are better than this.

The ad expires today Dave, and if you want people to take advantage of a ad, an expiration date helps. I made the ad and ran it for on Facebook, many have agreed we should have been running some kind of membership offer for WCAF. The trial offer as far as know never expires, as we have no control over what PMA charges for membership. In the past they have offered the "Early Bird" special, where you could get a few months of additional membership. Membership rates and offer are always a topic in the Membership Committee and Board of Directors, so this is not new to anyone, but we don't have the power to change what the parent organization does, although it's a wait and see as to what the future brings.

I think the idea is great, but if it is going to be marketed as a special, then it needs to be something special and not just what is available year round. I understand that under the current system, you're hands are tied by PMA to actually have a special offer.

I am getting a feeling that we are in a deep pit and before we can start climbing the mountain to success, we must first climb out of the PMA hole.

I guess I simply fail to see why it bothers you Dave. It is a special, for new members only as I understand it. What is the problem according to you? And what is the solution to said problem?

Everyone promotes things they hope people will see and take advantage of and I am quite sure I have seen an ad for Budweiser after I have purchased a six pack.
We can't make it so that you don't see it after your took advantage of it.

How about share it and tell others you thought it was a good deal and you are trying it.

I think Dave's problem is we advertise it as a special, but offer it "all" the time.
It IS a "new Member" special price, just not a truly "limited time" special.

I think it's a fair observation and something we should watch in future promotions.

My point being that running a "special" that is nothing more than repackaged regular pricing reminds me of what the big boxes do to their customers.

Well Dave we don't normally promote it, sometimes they promote the "early bird" which cost the same, but with the additional months, I think you are confusing the two. It was my choice alone to call it a WCAF special and I would do it again.
