During this hectic period of our association's transition, rest assured that PPFA competition plans have been moving forward all year long. However, not being able to submit everything for upload to a working website this past year has forced us to take a different approach. At this late date, unfortunately, minor glitches in most of our documentation are still being ironed out. We hope you understand, and please bear with us while we continue to work out the bugs.

Knowing that some chapters have already held some competitions (at least OPEN, that we know of), we realize some outdated forms might have been used (Description Forms, Score Sheets...). For any chapters who have used old forms -- NO PROBLEM WITH THAT whatsoever.

All current-year forms and documents related to the competition program are being tweaked / finalized in PDF format and will be available to chapter leaders within the next week or two. Competitors will need to obtain any forms they need from their chapter leaders since we are currently without a working website from which any forms can be downloaded.

Distribution plan is as follows: All updated forms and publications will be uploaded to my Dropbox account. An email will go to all listed officers of every chapter (a new email address has been established for PPFA Competition business). The email will provide a direct link to the documents and will NOT require anyone to establish their own Dropbox account. It will be a very easy process to obtain all of the forms and documents needed for any chapter competition.

Chapter Leaders will need to be on the lookout for such an email (with link) within the next 2 weeks from this sender email address: PPFACompetition@gmail.com. In the meantime, if anyone has any specific questions or concerns, please feel free to post them here, send me a private message through this forum, or use the gmail address just provided.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, and thank you for your support of PPFA during this exciting transition.

All competition-related reference material, forms, and reports are finally finalized. Email from PPFACompetition@gmail.com will go out to all chapter leaders starting this afternoon. Thank you all for your patience.

Thank you Linda for your hard work.
I'm originally from Whitefish Bay, WI and I'm a fellow "cheese head" :thumb:
I work with Alan Abeyta at Framin'Works in Phoenix.
I'm a 46 year framer and I sometimes listen in on the Skype conferences at work if I come in early...

Hi Neil. Always happy to meet another cheesehead! I'm not remembering if Whitefish Bay is in Door County or near Milwaukee. Not sure that I could deal with the AZ heat any better than the WI winters. Do your best to keep Alan in line, will you?

For everyone else -- the links to all things competition-related just went out to all chapter leaders, so check your in-boxes please.

Whitefish Bay is a suburb just north of Milwaukee.
I was born there and lived there until 1958 when we moved to Chicago.
I lived in Chicago until 1977 and moved to Denver.
Then I moved to Phoenix in 1987 and I'm still here.

I don't have to shovel snow anymore, but mowing the lawn when it's 110 degrees outside is an experience.

Alan is left handed and I'm right handed so we sort of balance when very large and heavy pieces need to be worked on.
