“Knowing a little bit about the military and how to properly display their items can be a niche that will give you that one more piece of ammunition over your competitors,” says Joyce Michels, MCPF, who will teach “Frames for Heroes,” on Tuesday, January 24 at the PPFA 2017 Annual Convention, held at the West Coast Art & Frame Expo/The National Conference in Las Vegas.

Joyce, who owns Michels Frames & Things in Saint Robert, Mo., has done a lot of framing for the nearby U.S. Army base at Fort Leonard Wood and is a specialist in preservation framing of military items, among other memorabilia.

Joyce also will co-teach Beyond Framing 101-Textiles, with Ellen Collins, MCPF. Both classes are on the Tuesday afternoon.

And Joyce and Ellen will co-teach the CPF/MCPF Recertification Course on Wednesday.

PPFA classes are open to everyone, with special pricing for PPFA members. Visit www.wcafshow.com for information and to register.

Look for an interview with Joyce and examples of her beautiful military pieces in the upcoming December/January issue of the PPFA Connect newsletter.

See you in Vegas!
