Who could resist Ellen Collins’ new class with that goofy title?!

“Framers often say, ‘Of course we can frame this!’ – and then have to figure out the best way to design and attach a tricky item to both display and preserve various types of artwork,” Ellen says. She will show various techniques to support often-unusual treasures in her Monday afternoon class at PPFA 2017.

On Tuesday afternoon, Ellen will team up with Joyce Michels, MCPF, to teach “Beyond Framing 101 – Textiles” – everything you need to know about handling textiles. You’ll learn to identify the various kinds from crochet to tapa cloth to jerseys and how to mount them all correctly. This dynamic duo also will discuss timesaving techniques and pricing, with time for questions.

Ellen also is on tap to teach the free “Introduction to the Certified Picture Framer (CPF) Exam” on Sunday afternoon; hold a meeting for Recertification instructors on Saturday afternoon; and then this busy lady will wrap up the Convention on Wednesday by co-teaching the Recertification Course with Joyce.

PPFA classes are open to everyone, with special pricing for PPFA members. Visit www.wcafshow.com for information and to register.

See you in Vegas!
