Ormond Williams MCPF awarded PPFA Lifetime Membership

PPFA would like to congratulate Ormond Williams MCPF, with the honour of being award with the PPFA Lifetime Membership Award, in acknowledgement recognition for his many years of outstanding service and dedication to PPFA.

Ormond began his picture framing business in Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia in 1985, earned his CPF designation in 1991, and was the first Australian framer to obtain the MCPF designation in 2008.

Ormond was elected Chairperson of PPFA Australia & New Zealand in 2009, and served for three consecutive years – but also served as a committee member for many more.

PPFA would like to share this appreciation with many framers who are indebted to Ormond for his years of tireless support and advice!
 
The lengths you guys will go to in order to keep a bloke around are astounding! LOL.

Seriously, thanks very much to everyone involved, for this honour! It blows me away to receive it, especially since I really don't think I've done anything that anyone else couldn't do!

My thanks go to Jared Davis and Trevor & Jenny Yates in particular as they seem to have been the ones responsible for cooking this up.
Thanks also to Elaine and the PPFA board members, who have also been involved.

OK, OK, I'll stick around, but I can't promise that my grumpy old man status won't pop up sometime in the future!
 
Ormond, maybe it is true that anyone could do what you have done. But the fact is that you did it. And that makes all the difference. Thanks. I'm really happy that you will be sticking around!

Congratulations as well Ormond. I think in fact you have done more than most others. PPFA is mostly volunteer organization and as in most situations where things are done on a volunteer effort there is always a shortage of those that either care or are in a position to step up.
 
Ormond, now you can frame forever!

Congratulations fella, hard work like yours is such a model for so many of us. Honors like this are the frosting of the achievement, IMHO. The esteem that comes from your colleagues that culminated into the lifetime Membership is something to be proud of, and your example is a fine one. A testimony to hard work, helping others and stepping up. Thank you for what that has taught me big O.

But, I also think this means you can't ever ever ever stop helping, we need you and 40 more just like ya!

Frame forever??? Only in my mind! I have other fat to chew, but I will stay as long as you'll have me or as long as I am able!
