Greg, I don't think we have any ribbons for Ohio again this year. If any other chapters have any extra and would like to donate them I am sure you can contact Jim about it.

Is this Chapter for ALL of Ohio?

One question, Is all of Ohio in the new chapter or are we back to the pick only zip codes we want chapter set up? If it's an all Ohio Chapter - Well Done! If it's let's pick only who we want (just parts of Ohio) -Shame on PPFA!:nono:

There is no new chapter this is just a joint meeting between Great Lakes and Northern Ohio Chapters, lots of chapters have them. Same venue as the Frame Specialties Open House.

Northern Ohio Chapter (Ohio Zips 43000-43899, 44000-44399, 44600-45899)

Randy, Then what does this line indicate? It sounds like the same old group that can't find the rest of Ohio I guess we can't be as open to change as the chapter from Fla. At least they welcome change and bringing others into the organization. Once again, no response from PPFA leadership when asked to include all of Ohio.

John, when Jim said he started an Ohio Chapter group, he was referring to a group here on Framers Corner. At the top of the page under "Community" tab you will see a drop down and a "Group" tab is there. These groups allow for information sharing that is specific to that group. This is a good thing that Jim has done following the lead of several other chapters who have done the same.

You can be upset I guess, but that will get you no where fast, be reasonable and go to the Chapter Relations Committee. If the Northern Ohio chapter can barely get together, and you want another chapter to emerge, you need a petition or something.

First, thank you for the compliment, from the Sunny State of Florida which is hosting an event this weekend and has had responses from Georgia.

Also, I don't know the history of what is or has been happening in your area. I can tell you two things, volunteers are needed to cover the map adequately. And there is no easy fix to lack of participation and/ or making distance the solution. But both are being looked at as work in both areas is needed. That of course is a very broad sweeping statement, but there it is.

Volunteers and hard work and everyone remaining malleable is very necessary. I can tell you many things are in discussions to make Chapters stronger, compliant, relevant, and appealing to new members.
But Rome was not built in a day.

My major mistake!

John, I jumped the gun into another area on my post. Jim, I ask you to please forgive both my hasty post and not being smart enough to read your instructions. I still would like to see all of Ohio one chapter. :cheer2 Again, I think Fla. Chapter is a model that offers the chapter growth every says that is needed. John thank you for your correction. If I have offended anyone else, I am sorry.

As Cathy said, Chapter organization is being studied hard.
There is a lot of work going on.

In the case of CA and Florida requests came from inside the chapter organization, so things went ahead quicker than in places where other issues exist.

I don't think anyone is offended, but there is so much going on in different areas that it is easy to get different initiatives mixed up.

When you have multiple committees and organizations of volunteers all working hard with good intentions, sometimes things aren't so clear or obvious.
Also, it takes a lot of "behind the scenes" work to make proposals coherent and reasonable.

Alrighty moving back the Ohio/Michigan match up....er I mean meeting.. Check out some of the spectacular matting we are going to learn how to do!

John H. I should have posted a link to what I was referring to.
The North Eastern Ohio PPFA actually encompasses the whole state of Ohio not just the North East section.
We are still asking for members who are interested in serving on the board. A couple members have indicated they are interested in serving on the board. It is really good to see them showing an interest.

We are having a Early Bird meeting, 9 a.m. coffee and donuts with vendors before the meeting begins. Great one time only deals by our PPFA Vendors! Door prizes galore, nobody will be allowed to leave empty handed!
