I'm not bashing any of our vendors so please don't take this wrong.

I know this is a discussion we have had more than once but I thought I would bring it up again and see if I am the only one seeing more problems with Asian moulding. It is getting so I am afraid to even handle the Asian moulding. I have been having issues of warp age, twisting, rotting wood sections, bad colors from one length to the next, finish falling/chipping off, seeing finger joints through the finish, flaws, knots, etc. I am also seeing that it doesn't matter who the vendor is, the quality is the same all the way from LJ to International. I have always been a little dissatisfied with the Asian mouldings but it seems that it is really getting bad. I don't seem to have anywhere near as many problems with the European moulding and zero problems with American made moulding.

My question is if this it is my imagination that the quality of the Asian mouldings is getting worse. Is it because the vendors are looking for the cheapest price or is it just the way the Asians companies are manufacturing the moulding. Are we all seeing that the European moulding is a higher quality or is that my imagination too. Are we all having the same problems? I look forward to hearing from a few other people.
