Larson has available out of their Chicago warehouse (well they did until we cleaned them out) a "tape" that they are importing from the company Conservation by Design that they bought in the UK.
It is an allpha cellulose base with starch paste.

I have been using it for a bit now on "decorative" stuff and I was wondering what others thought. I find the paper a bit thick and the edges a bit sharp, but that can be quickly fixed with tearing. The adhesive seems to be everything they say it is (n't) and I am beginning to think it is a reasonable substitue for "better" things.
They also make a Rag based version, but I haven't tried that.
Oh yeah, it's not expensive at all! under $12 for 300'
