Mikki Kavich, MCPF, special guest
Mikki is an artist/framer who currently resides in Crossville, Tennessee. She has been framing pictures since 1983 and opened her own shop “Mikki’s Frame Shop” in 2005. A member of PPFA since 2005, Mikki became an MCPF in 2013 and is the current President of KY/TN Chapter.
Mikki loves to experiment with different media and techniques both in framing and her art. She considers herself an old school framer and artist. Mikki does not own a CMC because she enjoys the hands on approach to framing, mat cutting and decoration.
Over the years Mikki’s has taught many different art related classes and currently teaches regular furniture painting classes in her shop. Mikki is an active member of the French Matting community on Facebook.
Mikki is an avid vintage camper collector and restorer. She loves quilting in her spare time and is grandmother to 3 fabulous grandchildren all the time.

Do you love the techniques of French Matting and admire a beautiful botanical framed in a traditional French Mat design, but aren’t sure how to incorporate it into today’s framing design?
This two hour hands on class will be loaded with tips and techniques to make and sell French matting in today’s frame shop. You will not only learn how to use inks and paints to hand pull lines to create a French Mat, but you will also learn new ways to incorporate French Lines into more contemporary framing jobs. You will learn some proven tips for making fewer boo boo’s and tricks for fixing them when they happen.
TWO lucky Attendees will go home with a new ruling pen from Tech-Mark Lion Framing Supplies!

Come learn what’s going on with your PPFA and what the future holds for our members. We will hold Board elections, announce the winner of the 2015 Robert Warshawer, MCPF – CPF Scholarship, and present awards for both the OPEN and PRINT competitions.
Cost for this incredible day loaded with information and education is just $40 for members and $60 for non-members. Events before 4pm require admission ticket, but the events after 4pm are open to everyone.
