The Mountain and Plains PPFA chapter is having their fall meeting at 12:00 noon, at Larson-Juhl on Sunday, October 27, 2013. Their address is 6488 Gardenia St., Arvada CO. This is in conjunction with their open house.

The winners of the Print and Open competition will be announced. We will also hold elections. If anyone is interested in running for any of the positions, please let us know.

We are having an additional competition this year, called "Creative Print". Everyone needs to bring a framed item on Sunday. This can be of anything, and does not need to be to the standards of the PPFA Open and Print competition. The winner will be based on the visual impact as defined by those present. Yes, we will be voting on the ones we like best.

Bring one from your wall samples, or ask a customer for the loan of one of those you like best. And there is no entry fee!

Hope to see you there!:thumb:

If you have any questions, please call me at 303-809-4957.

Russ, that is a nice idea to have a "creative" entry as a part of the competition. Please let us know how this turns out. I would come and see for myself, but it is a looonnngggg drive.

Thanks everyone for a successful chapter meeting.

Particular thanks goes to Keith Anderson, of Studio Moulding who provided the door prize for the chapter meeting.

The fun event of the "creative print" where everyone could bring any framed item, and it didn't have to be based on preservation standards, but was judged based on the popular choice, was really liked. More than 40 people voted for their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.

Special thanks to Larson-Juhl, Tru-Vue, and Neilsen for their prizes for these 3 competition winners.
