About 2 months ago I decided to carry milk paint and chalk paint in the gift area of my shop and host Thursday night free classes.

Sales are good getting closer to great but......MAN! it requires baby sitting! Not sure that was my best idea yet but it is bringing a whole new group of people into my shop so we will see!IMG_5931.webpIMG_5940.webpIn case you wonder what in the world I am talking about.

That table is really cool! There is a shop in our town doing this, "junk" shop, and they charge people to come in for the classes.

The side paint on old frames is typically casein and its beautiful matte surface is hard to match. It also creates a beautiful toning medium for use over antique gold, which requires adding a wetting agent like alcohol or ox gall.
