Sunday April 7-8th, 2013

Geneva Ridge Resort
Lake Geneva, WI

4 educators:

Rob Markoff
Bonnie Palizzi
Linda Pujo
Karen Crown

A Huge thank you to our sponsors: Crescent, Tru Vue and Vermont Hardwoods.

That weekend is my son's 9th birthday, otherwise I would defiantly go, not only is it the birthplace of DnD, I would go for the framing classes too!

"Hugh Hefner built his first Playboy resort there, which was much larger than any Playboy Club. The club was closed in 1981 and converted into the Americana Resort, and later to the present Grand Geneva Resort.[SUP][6][/SUP] Lake Geneva was also home to Dungeons and Dragons creator Gary Gygax until his death in 2008. Guns N' Roses lead singer, Axl Rose, also owned property on the southwest side of Geneva Lake from 1988 until 1998. It is rumored that George Lucas (Star Wars) and girlfriend Mellody Hobson have rented a residence on the south shore of Geneva Lake, when Mellody is not working in Chicago at Ariel Investments. Maria and Billy Bell (major modern art collectors and part of the daytime dramatic television dynasty), are also known to visit, along with the siblings Lauralee Bell and Bradley Bell."

13 Classes... 4 Instructors... 4 PPFA Chapters... The Gift Show as well...

This Sunday-Monday event coincides with the Spring Show - Chicago Gift Market which runs Monday-Tuesday.

These two destinations are 1 hour 35 minutes drive - 77 miles!

We're hoping to tie the two events together!

John

P.S. Sorry that we won't see you there, Randy - But a 9th Birthday party is pretty important...heh, wait a minute, that Birtday can only last one of the two days! :smug:

To clarify guest rooms rate at Geneva Ridge Resort:

$85/ night is for Sunday and Monday
IF someone plans to come on Saturday night, the reduced rate is $129.

BUT these prices are only available until March 15th!

Thank you again!

BUT Price at the door will cost $10 more per class! (with a $200 cap, then back to reg. price)

It was an amazing first day of our event! Rob's What causes Fading Class was amazing! He really has a way of explaining science concepts and keeping it engaged with everyday life. Bonnie's classes are so exciting and inspiring, with many new concepts for classy designs! Linda Pujo is a wealth of knowledge! Her Shoptalk 101 is a gem that had everyone discussing basics we forget about. Karen Crown is new to the framing scene, but wow! the design applications of gold leaf on glass are amazing!

We finished the evening with a group of us going out for Chicago style pizza and wonderful conversation.

I really llook forward ro tomorrow's classes.

I suppose that's when it's over it's just over, done, fini. I really was hoping to read more about the Event's second day and how it was. Truly would have loved to have been able to attend. Thanks for making the time to share what you have.
