Hello,

My name is Bryce Moulton, and I am an Industrial Designer at a office furniture company, Watson Furniture. As part of our product offering we manufacture fabric wrapped privacy screens. We currently use a spray adhesive to glue the fabric onto two pieces of fiberboard, then sandwiched together. I have been looking into ways to speed up our process, and remove glue from the assembly.

One of the solutions I am pursuing is a stretch and staple technique, using essentially a gallery wrap method. For our level of production we need a certain level of repeat-ability and precision, but that is also flexible for many different dimensions. Through some research I discovered the Canvas Stretch Master, from GAPP Engineering, which seems to have the right balance between automation and flexibility. I have been in communication with the company, and they have even tested it with our materials (fiberboard and panel fabrics), but I need to see a real life machine before we can be confident that it could really work for us. They have been unhelpful in locating a machine near me, so I've turned to the web for possible leads to see a Canvas Stretch Master. I discovered this forum, and it seemed worth posting the inquiry.

Watson Furniture is located near Seattle, WA - but anyone in the US is closer than Ireland (where GAPP Engineering is located). Any information about the product, about possible alternatives, or if you know someone with one, please reply. I hope to gain some leads, if not an actual connection to someone with a Canvas Stretch Master.

Thanks for the help.

Bryce
