From Mary Fender
This is the first in a new series written by PPFA members.
First up.. Myrna Dow of High Desert Frameworks talks about framing a vintage cricket bat.

How the first post was chosen?
I reached out to Myrna after I saw her article in the June Cascades chapter newsletter (I received by email) and invited her to be our first author in our new member series. After a bit of editing to make the existing article more consumer friendly, I added an intro and a short bio about the author at the end.
The Consumer Awareness Committee is looking for more articles from our talented PPFA membership to add to the findapictureframer.com blog.
Myrna's is a good example of the kind of content we are looking for.
Content suggestions include:
* Fundraising efforts by a member shop - nonprofit info etc.
* special framing projects (like our first post) are always welcome
* Framing / Interior Design tips / Corporate art framing projects or new ideas
* Newsworthy or interesting achievements by a member shop or individual
* Videos are good too!
* Other_________________ < tell us about your idea for a blog post and/or suggest an author (must be a PPFA current member)
We have a few stipulations:
1. Content must not have been published to the internet before (similar content is OK but completely different wording and pics are essential)
2. Photos need to accompany the article. Ideal sizes 600 x 300 or close. Be sure to include permissions (if pics are not taken by the author or related)
3. Bio info on the author and chapter name, with links to author's website and chapter site/facebook
Please post your interest in this thread and the committee will get with you to coordinate dates and info." MF
I (Randy) would even add entries from vendors, as along as they do not overtly pitch a product.
We are looking to flesh out several photo galleries for the site. We will be adding galleries for...
And if you have suggestion of subjects consumers would be interested in we want to hear them.
Thank you to everyone who has submitted photos, they are going up soon I promise.
