Learn how to capture eye-catching images for your website, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, whether you use a phone, camera, iPad, or tablet!

In his PPFA 2016 class, “Photographing Framed Images for Advertising and Social Media,” Mark Wallenfang, CPF, will give helpful hints on photographing glazed and unglazed works, including exposure, white balancing, and editing images. Mark taught a similar class for the Wisconsin Chapter that was a huge success and very well received.

The owner of Shooting Star Photo & Custom Framing in Appleton, Wis., Mark was a sports photographer for the Green Bay Packers’ weekly newspaper and for a couple of national image sources; his photos have appeared in national and international sports publications including Sports Illustrated and ESPN the magazine; and he was the main photo contributor to the New York Times best seller, “FAVRE.”

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Calif., he is a member of the PPFA Wisconsin Chapter and an award-winning framer, and teaches photography classes at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton.

PPFA 2016 will be held at the West Coast Art & Frame Expo/The National Conference, January 24-27, 2016, Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. PPFA classes and events are open to everyone, with special pricing for PPFA members.

Mark is joined in the PPFA 2016 lineup by Ellen Collins, Meg Glasgow, Rob Markoff, Joyce Michels, Jim Miller, Chris Paschke, Hugh Phibbs, Linda Pujo, Cliff Wilson, Russ Wood, and Keynote speaker Leslie Klingner, Curator of Interpretation at the Biltmore Estate.

My wife is usually the one taking the pictures of projects, etc. Somehow they just never look like the great pictures others have shown on FC or in PFM. When looking at the courses that are being offered in LV she couldn't wait to get signed up. This course is something everyone can put to use in even the smallest of shops...social media is the great equalizer and can make any size shop appealing to new/repeat customers. If you can take one more class, think about this one... it can make you look like the pro you are.:thumb:
