People send me pictures of their designs all the time and I can tell you that this one is exceptional. The colors and the way you used the mat design to pull it all together is fabulous. Beautiful work.

I realized you did this with a cmc
What I was saying is, that this type of curve in a double mat is very difficult to get right manually.
It can be done manually if you have the patience and right technique.

Here is a tip the way I used to do them by hand.
I had an alto's ez mat cutter handle. I bought a piece of alumimun 1"x1/8"x30"
I screwed one end to the cutter handle and then the other end I drilled a 1/8" hole every 1/4"
I would put a nail in 1"x4"x24" piece of wood let it stick up about 1.5" cut the head off.
Closer the hole smaller the arch. You can figure the math.
