My c.d player in the shop broke down on which I play jazz music for customers to get in the mood to open their wallets. Instead of buying a new one, I searched the web for free jazz radio-stations. The first one on the list was

www.jazz24.org/listen

I play it all day in the shop and find it a good station. In New Zealand I cannot find a jazz station, only classic or classical music. I don't think the occasional opera is what customers like to come to my shop for to listen to.

It is easier than changing the c.d's every hour, but I am not sure how it will affect my allocated number of bytes from my phonecompany. It is not that I am downloading movies for eight hours.

Maybe the above website is worthwhile mentioning for those interested.

I prefer playing 70s and 80s music. Has a calming effect on me.

Although I will have to learn to control myself with the 'Rocky Horror Time Warp' dance moves until the doors are closed!!!!

Kai.... I'm with YOU.... sorry Ormand. I LOVE jazz and live in an area where most people HATE it - NW Nevada. It's country music here where ever you go. I still haven't decide what I'm going with when I get my shop opened. If I listen to Country all day, I'll probably go home at the end of the day and feel the need to kick the dog or something. And I detest violence - especially against animals!

Kai, can you set up a playlist in your computer, from your Jazz CD's? That way you are listening to your music without having to change out CD's or eating up "bites" of any kind.

Glad you found the free radio station though...
Stay Jazzy!
