Finishing Touches
Twice a year I do a full reset on the entire sales floor. Every moulding and framed sample off, then moved around, and put back on the wall. Some framed samples that didn't fit last time go up, some that are up,

go into the back for the next reset. It's extremely satisfying when it's finished but hot damn, it's a royal pain the "backside". I chose today due to torrential rainfall. It's a great rainy day job. Plus, I can get rid of

some of the older corners that just don't move. I must say, I'm pretty good at rotating stock, out with the slow movers and in with the new. However, I really have a soft spot for black corners….or anything shiny.

I have WAAAAAAAYYYYY too many black corners. Somethings gotta be done about that!! I mean really, how many black corners do you really need? By days end tomorrow I WILL get rid of half the black samples.

Plus, I just got in the Fotiou Jane Seymour collection. More shiny black samples. They're brand new so, of course, all of em stay. And the entire collection is really shiny!! Bright colors, some great looking

silver/golds/bronzes. Really looking forward to framing up a sample.

I promise. I'm not going crazy, just needed a break from the wall. I'll be back to normal in a day or two………..

Evan, black samples, I have 'prolly less than 10 black only. Everything is textural too.

BUT, I seriously need to reset my wall. And my samples on the high walls. Need to put up a slider too. And would love a coat of paint. And, and, and....any volunteers? I am a pretty good cook!

Cathy, I am sure the meals would be excellent, but the days when I could afford to work for food are gone for good. You'll have to sweeten that offer to get me to reset your walls.

I think it is like a lot of things about being in business. I would have no trouble taking on your walls, but agonize and struggle to take care of my own.:hopelessness:

Cathy, might have to sweeten the deal by providing 3 squares a day for Greg.
Start the day off with your "famous pancakes" and end it with a before bedtime snack of "Chickies Cookies"

Safe to say I have a few more than 10. Glad I do this twice a year or I would be swimming in old samples. Black or otherwise. Probably got rid of 50-75 old ones (not all black) and put up about 30 new ones. The new Nurre Provence line and the Jane Seymour. Got some good ideas for store samples and will begin that on monday. Want to look good for the holidays. I dread doing the reset, but I'm always happy when it's done. As for working for food, however tempting it may be, I must pass.
