I have been crazy, wonderfully busy since I got back from Vegas!
Then the last two weeks it has been a ghost town in here.
I actually pulled out "got to do this crap" stuff!

Now time for it to pick up again!

Wonder what is going on!
Are you busy in your neck of the woods?

I could work on my competition pieces....NAW I got 4 weeks left why get in a hurry? LOL!

September has been a ghost town for me.

Not sure what is going on. This is very odd. Like the weather this year.

Though the only pattern I do see in my business is that when other framers in the country are busy, I am slow, and vice versa.

Retail has been slow since about the 15th. But there has also been lots of football, school carnivals, festivals and other seasonal events. Things should start picking up next week. I have frankly been grateful for the opportunity to catch my breath.

Just remember, it is not you...it is them!:smile-new:

I have also been crazy busy all year and hit almost a 2 week lull in September. Last week picked up again though and I am back under a pile again.
I didn't slow down during my lull though. Built a lot of photo frames and readymades and got the inventory up for the holidays.
Even with the lull, it looks like I'll beat last September.

Framing kept my shingle hanging this summer, retail/needlework, ick. Knitting, flat.

With so many of the irons in my fire on the PPFA side, Chapter stuff, Competition piece and the FOUR how-to books out), Study for CPF (The right way), cold-calling prospective members in FL, oddly framing is up again, and SO much more.

I don't believe in the whole meta-physical 'what you send out is what ya get' kind of thing. But the projects I am getting for framing...whacked out amped up stuff. Restoration stuff to send out, 'printing to have done', research-y kinda stuff. It is starting to make me wonder. The word "framing" is not in my business name...perhaps it should be.

Grateful for the biz. Wherever it is coming from.

Kai are you a Tennessee Vols fan? Because if so you know they are really stinking up the field this year! Especially the last two weeks!

The entire game of Oregon 59 versus Tennessee 14 can be watched on Redtube...I mean Youtube.
I have only seen the highlights, but it must have been an exciting match.
One of the cheergirls in the beginning of the clip looked Sasha Grey!

The last half of September has been slow, concerning new customers.

But I have been busy working on a show of my dog and animal sketches which I set up Wednesday night. I was not there yesterday or today, but I will be there this weekend (Surgery for my mother yesterday, and followup today), and I hope to get some business leads from the show. Title is Sketches by Leighton, Frames by Grey Owl

We will see what happens.

When customers aren't coming in, I have to go out and get them!
