I have a bug!

Aren't caravans the engine-less trailers pulled by a car in which people can live? Campers or campervans are the ones with an engine. Some call them trailerhomes when they are parked permanently.

When I was young the only mobile homes were pulled by trailers. Campers did not exist. My grandparents had a stationary caravan parked in a camping. This was long and not really suitable to be pulled on the road to a holiday-destination.

It is there that I learned how to hammer nails into wood. It arrived at its spot pulled by a farm-tractor. I was four years old when that happened. The camping was in the middle of a forest with a lake were we learned to swim. Great memories

I long for an Airstream one day, but until then, I am happy with this tiny pop up that we can pull behind out Toyota Matrix.real LL top.webpIt weighs a mere 250 pounds and sleeps 2, has room to stand up and get dressed. It is called a Leesure Lite.

Great way to have a holiday Sue. This saves so much money on motels.
The advantage of pulling this lightweight trailer is, that you can park it in a camping and take the car to town. Whereas big campervans are good on the open road, but when you enter a busy town and want to find a fitting parking spot, it can be a problem.

I have seen campers towing a small car. These cars have a small towbar fitted to the front. So no-one is sitting in that car while being towed. That's another option.
The camper is parked in the camping ground and the owners are taking the car for a trip.
