Hugh Phibbs, Coordinator of Preservation Services, is retiring from the National Gallery of Art, but not the field, after 38 years of service in the Conservation Division. Hugh has been a generous, inspiring colleague and enthusiastic teacher to many of us, offering helpful advice on the preservation of works on paper and photographs.
