We are an established expanding South Bay Area (Morgan Hill) custom frame shop that is looking for an experienced framer skilled in cutting and joining frames to join our team. We are also looking for a front room designer/fit person with strong sales and design skills. There is opportunity for increased hours if you can fill both positions. We have an excellent reputation for design, craftsmanship and customer service.
Responsibilities for the production position include unpacking and inspecting incoming frame moulding, cutting moulding to frame specifications, joining moulding, and touch-up work. Experience with joining a variety of frame types and working with complicated designs is required. Must have the ability to self-manage and work independently as well as to take direction from manager.
Responsibilities for the front room designer/fit position include designing with clients on the sales floor, art sales, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Experience with designing a variety of artwork and strong sales skills are required. Knowledge of POS sales software, automated mat cutting, and backroom fitting experience is a plus.
Both positions require the ability to self-manage and work independently as well as to take direction from manager. We are looking for someone to work part time, with opportunity for growth. A great personality and the ability to interact well with co-workers is a must.
Compensation is based on experience level.
