IN-HOUSE REUSABLE SHIPPING BOXES FOR FRAMED ART
10 AM - to 1:30PM
Learn how to construct drop spine box and sink box as shipping boxes for easy and efficient transportation of artwork and shipping across the country. These quick and easy to build boxes will store, house, protect and ship both customer art AND your award winning PPFA competition pieces to Regional and National competition locations. Boxes are built with 1/2” and 3/16” foam board double wall construction, eggcrate sponge foam lined, and are reusable boxes that are durable enough to meet UPS shipping standards. Boxes may be custom designed for single shipping or adjustable for variable (similar) sizes.

DIGITALS IN 2012

This seminar is intended to explain the hierarchy and family tree of digital images. Often referred to as gicleé they run the gamut from limited editions to desktop copy, fine art to home photograph, and this class will help clarify the confusion. Assorted images will be distributed to help demonstrate the technologies, then various alternatives for handling, mounting (conservation vs. affixed), and framing them will be covered. Digital technologies will include both wet and dry electrophotographic toner copies; electrostatic copies; thermal transfers; laser prints; inkjet; and assorted digital photos including piezo, inkjet, thermal developing, dye sublimation, and autochrome.
