Susan,

Did you order one of these? I sold two used (pristine) machines in the past 18 months for $500 each. It is a fantastic machine. Some things that I would consider in getting your hands on one...
  • Get the F-1100 over the F-1000 for sure...cuts larger and smaller oval openings.
  • Seriously consider getting the new one in the box or from a source that has the original shipping box as the foam wraps will protect your machine.
  • Make sure to request that they have the cutting head and handle facing 6 O'Clock on the machine with the cutting head dialed down to the surface. This will protect the mechanism from cracking the black retaining discs in shipping (Getting replacement parts is next to impossible for this equipment)
  • Request the video/DVD that came with these machines which really helps along with the manual.
  • The F-1100 should also include border extenders for cutting an opening very close to the edge of the mat. The Dust Cover was an optional accessory

Once you get the machine and if you need assistance, feel free to call or email and I will be glad to help.

Regards,

John.
