Hello to all and farewell to all!
I didn't know how to most effectively reach out to the many framing folks I worked with over the years. I hope this short note will suffice.
I am so greatly encouraged that PPFA is under new management. Although I appreciate the staff at PMA, it seemed as though PPFA was too often on the back-burner and dwindled tremendously over the past several years. I truly hope that new management will bring new enthusiasm and revitalize and grow the membership. I am also greatly encouraged by the new board. They are amazing folks with great talent and vision.
Unfortunately, after 20 years in the association, I need to say farewell. I am thankful for a new position in the Federal Government, but with the new management position and acquisition authority, my membership and participation in PPFA is considered a conflict of interest and I must withdrawal my membership. (I'll cross that bridge next week after I purchase a few more Guideline books!)
I have worked with and greatly respected so many of you over the years. You are simply the best framers and colleagues in the industry. I have seen and judged some of he best framing on the planet, learned from the best instructors, and had some of the most fun I could imagine. I and am proud to have been a member for the past two decades. I will miss my PPFA family, but will continue to support by encouraging framers I encounter to join and hope they catch the bug that held my attention for so long.
Sincerely,
