NEPPFA Chapter Event
The New England Professional Picture Framers Association will hold it’s third and final chapter event of 2016. This event is will offer educational seminars, a panel discussion, a vendor table top showcase, door prizes, PRINT Competition judging and awards presentation, the awarding of the Warshawer CPF Scholarship, annual elections for the Board of Directors and networking, idea sharing, and friendship.

Meg Glasgow, owner of Finer Frames, is a nationally recognized consultant in the art and framing field, and winner of Larson Juhl’s first Design Star competition. She travels widely in the U.S., presenting sales and marketing seminars for small businesses, and has published a book entitled “Meg on Marketing, A Self-Help Guide for Small Business Success.” At home, Meg serves on the Eagle Arts Commission. She was named Meridian’s 2005 Woman of the Year, a finalist in the Idaho Woman Entrepreneur of the Year program for 2004, and her business was chosen as the Meridian Small Business of the Year in 2002. Finer Frames received the top distinction with the Top 100 Art & Framing Retailers Award in 2003. The company which she founded in 1999, has earned national exposure framing for NBC’s reality show “The Neighbors” and ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”.
Meg will teach two separate seminars and host a panel discussion during the evening portion of the program. The seminars will be:

The not-so-obvious secrets to transforming your business
Is your business in need of a makeover? This seminar is for new start-ups or existing shops looking for practical ideas for strengthening your business image. Whether you want to attract specific customers or simply be more competitive you’ll learn tips for transforming your brand, communicating with customers, merchandising and much more.

PICTURE PERFECT DESIGNS TO INCREASE SALES

Retail is a highly competitive business, especially for framers. Learn ideas for increasing sales by improving your customer experience at the design counter. Get inspired with Meg’s award-winning frame designs and learn tips for using these creative framing ideas to “wow” your customers. From hand painted details, stunning shadowboxes and artistic mat details you’ll get ideas and advice to grow your custom framing sales.
She will also lead a panel discussion about SIMPLE MARKETING STRATEGIES – What Works and what doesn’t and WHY.

A great event yesterday in Portsmouth, NH!

Meg Glasgow gave two inspiring presentations, and there was an evening business and marketing panel. The presentations included “10 STEP FRAMESHOP MAKEOVER”, and “PICTURE PERFECT DESIGNS TO INCREASE SALES”. More than 50 showed up for this fun filled day of framing information and networking.

Elections where held at this meeting, with Kimberley Briel serving as our new president, Jonathan Lassen will serve as VP, Becky Florence will serve as secretary, Harry Gaston as immediate past president, Adam Ruthowski as wholesale director, Larry Pearl as retail director, Rob Jenisch as retail director, Tim Werner as retail director. One position remains available and we are looking for another retail director to serve on the board.
