Wow, Paul must have received our eblast from PPFA about the Southeast Chapter Framefest in Florida - and he wrote to wish us all the best.
Wonderful to hear from a framing legend! I remember meeting him at a PPFA Convention, in 07 I think, in Vegas.

He is the rock star of framing. It was 07 & I was there, but could barely get a word out in his presence. He has a Facebook page and posts once in a while. But it is especially good to know that he is thinking of us.

I was floored! I felt like Frank Sinatra gave a shout out to Frame Fest. So being the goopy gal, told Sheila to send him a big kiss. And she asked me to Email him!!!
I love meeting cool people in framing, and I get to be quite awed. I own a copy of one his books that I got off Ebay, because it was signed!

WOW, Paul Fredrick. He apologized that he can't make it! Are you kidding, I think it's cool you noticed us!!!:love::love:

WOW, Paul Fredrick.

And another little email - apparently he's 99 years old now!

He wishes everyone Happy Framing.

I invited him to join us here at the Corner -- fingers crossed.:smile-new:

Wonderful Man! I met him once probably '07 at the convention. So nice and so knowledgeable. Without him we would not be having such great camaraderie with other framers. We all owe him a BIG THANKS!

I remember talking on the phone with Paul about 25 years ago with regard to something in his book and he wasn't young then! I was going to say, "He must be 100 by now!"

I'm glad he's still kickin'. Amazing.

Andrew

Glad you brought that up, Cliff. Yes, he did come to the Chinese Dinner! THAT was a great table. :) I actually saved his "reservation" and the nice note that went with it. I keep it in my Framer's Answer Books, which I regret that I didn't bring to the dinner for him to sign.
