Primary Tasks: The Retail Print and Framing Manager will run Blick’s print and framing workshop fulfilling print and custom framing work-orders placed by customers at our retail design centers throughout the country. This manager will service many retail stores and will need to effectively handle multiple print and framing tasks in a professional manner and ship finished orders daily to achieve excellent customer satisfaction.

Primary Tasks: The Retail Print and Framing Manager will run Blick’s print and framing workshop fulfilling print and custom framing work-orders placed by customers at our retail design centers throughout the country. This manager will service many retail stores and will need to effectively handle multiple print and framing tasks in a professional manner and ship finished orders daily to achieve excellent customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Espouse excellent customer service combining sales, product and industry knowledge, and other skills to exceed customer expectations
- Professionally copy digital and original fine art works through the Giclée printing process
- Professionally apply archival finishing coats to printed copies
- Construct stretcher frames and stretch finished canvas prints to customer specifications
- Treat all customers in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
- Maintain an energetic and positive attitude with all customers and staff
- Process all print and framing orders in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner
- Ensure compliance to all Loss Prevention measures and company Policies & Procedures
- Effectively communicate all issues to management to maintain a high level of customer service
- Provide training to new employees at Blick Design Centers when required
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work space
- All other assigned duties as directed by members of the Blick Retail Management Team
- Workload of 45+ hours a week.
Job Requirements
Technical Requirements:
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium software
- Experience with ColorMunki color management software
- Versed operating professional wide-format printers *(Working knowledge of EPSON Stylus Pro series printers highly sought)
- Adept working with multiple image file formats including JPEG, TIFF, BMP, RAW and GIF
- Demonstrated skill stretching art canvas is a must including full-bleed completed work
- A minimum of 3 years experience with professional printers making fine art prints from a digital source
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a professional framer
- Excellent time management skills to ensure work schedules are maintained
- Available to work day/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Prolonged walking and standing
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. using appropriate lifting techniques and adhering to all safety rules
