My petroglyph is all framed up and what is needed now is a form of description for the methods and materials used.
When I clicked on this blow the picture of the petroglyph, I was unable to enter and it took me back to the same screen.
I anyone able to provide me with a working link please?

go to www.ppfa.com along the top in the purple banner select Competitions, then scroll all the way down and under the picture of the competition piece it says Framing Competition Downloadable Forms, the second one down is PPFA framing competition description form, Also down there you will find the guide to framing competitions as well as the judging criteria if you want to look those over. If you are still having issues let me know and I can email the form to you. I just checked it and it opens for me, it is a docx file in word.

Thank you Robin,
I have the form. and it needs to be placed in a pocket on the back of the entry (meaning frame). Are there any guidelines on what this pocket consists of? Can it be a bleached white envelope or brown recycled envelope or a piece of mylar? Can I use double sided tape to attach an envelope?
On the top is mentioned Entrynumber. Is this to be filled in by me or later by the judge?

Labels are not allowed on the back of the frame. Does this include a Truvue sticker outlining the type of glazing used?

I have never seen anyone lose points over an atg'd envelope with the description form in it. That's the way most do it.
Some use the clear envelopes, but that's not necessary.

The "coordinator" usually assigns an entry number when the piece is recieved.
This is NOT one of the judges because then they'd know who's piece it was.

You can affix any label that does NOT indicate who you are.
I've never seen anyone loose points for TruVue stickers, ArtCare Stickers, or anything of that generic nature.

As to the moulding question; Tell the judges anything you think will help them understand what you did.
You got a copy of the judges' sheet. Look it over and tell the judges anything you think might get you extra points on one of the questions.
If you don't tell them, they have to make assumptions. This is usually a bad thing.

I agree with Cliff. I have never seen anyone marked down for information labels as long as they do not identify you or your shop. If you have a moulding company sticker with a location you should leave that off, it could identify the area you are from in a very broad way but it is identifying, same in your description do not say XYZ Company of Anywhereville USA, Canada, New Zealand or Australia ect... Just be sure your envelope is accessible. I have seen some that are hard to get into and the judges risk tearing up the backing on the frame.

Also be sure if you use something in the framing package tell where it was used and how, for example if you put ATG tape was it in the framing package or just on the dustcover? was it ATG gold or regular ATG? White glue, what kind, you get the picture never let the judges assume something is or isn't Acid Free.

As for the filler board listing, are you looking at Filler Boards and then Spacers/fillers? If so I would interpret this as Filler Boards - what is filling the back of the frame, if anything, and spacers/fillers is there a space between the glass and mat, or is there a space (buildup) between the mats or the mats and the item being framed, If so what did you use to make that happen. Some one else may have a different interpretation and will chime in. Hope this helps!

P.S. if it does say filler board twice it could be in the conversion over to a PDF it added it again? maybe? I'm not the best computer person I just muddle through,
