Greetings from Belgrade, MT! Earlier this year I started producing steel frames, created distressed paint and patina finishes, and ended up with a unique frame that I think is really interesting. The frames have been very well received in the local framing community. Right now I offer 3 standard profiles with plans to create more. I'm also willing to tackle custom projects that require specific designs.

If you're interested in seeing what I have to offer, my website is up and running:
www.bridgermetalworks.com
Wholesale opportunities are available.

Cheers,
Scott

Hi Scott

Welcome to PPFA Framer's Corner!

I checked our POS, and don't currently see Bridger listed as a supported vendor.

If you haven't already, you may want to submit your moulding list to the various framing point of sale software (POS) companies. (FrameReady, LifeSaver, Specialtysoft, etc)

Approximately 80%+ of the frame shops in USA are using professional software as a pricing and business management tool, so the items would have to be in the database in order to price/sell it. The vendors take what you give them and distribute it automatically to all of their customers, on a daily or weekly basis. As prices change, you just notify them again and the new prices will flow through to the frame shops. (they set a markup formula from your selling price, to determine retail)

If this is something you would like to do, those three companies would be a good start to contact - for the required data they will need. (2 letter vendor code, item #, UPC/bardcode #, description, width, rabbit depth, material type, chop cost, length cost, join cost, and so on) This can be submitted as a spreadsheet, and they will import and distribute it on your behalf. There is a full list of POS companies at www.getthepictureframing.com/gfaq/ but not all of them sell within the USA. All companies but one will distribute your price/product lists at no charge.

I hope this is helpful and again, welcome to the forum!

Mike

Thanks Mike! I checked out the vendor options for POS software systems a while ago but passed it up because I thought that since I'm selling finished frames, not stock lengths of moulding, that it wouldn't work for me. I must be wrong about that and will have to dig into it a little more.

Scott, I looked at your site and like your frames!

Mike is right about POS software. Particularly for those of us who have employees, any vendor not in the software is pretty much ignored since it is difficult and uncertain for them to price it. Or that has been my experience.
